Aloha to two!

So, I've finally gotten around to uploading photos from our son's second birthday party that we celebrated a couple weeks ago (to see how we celebrated last year, visit here)!

I love a theme (duh) and this year we went with a pineapple/Hawaiian/luau-ish party.
Despite not having very Hawaiian-like weather (it wasn't a washout by any means but was mid 60s and cloudy with a few raindrops during the cake time) it was so much fun and extra exciting that he actually understood that the party was for him this year!

Unfortunately, I don't have photos of all the details and hardly any from the actual party with the guests. Fail! I think we were all trying to enjoy the moment and not live it through the camera lens but here's some of what I did capture of the day:

It blows my mind he's two!
Anyway, a little source list for you:

ALOHA balloons - Etsy

decorative palm leaves - Amazon

A nursery for my niece!

Nurseries and kid rooms are hands down my most favorite spaces when it comes to decorating.
I seriously want to have more children for the sheer reason of having another nursery to design.
Is that ridiculous and selfish of me?
 Don't answer that.

Anyway, when my sister (who is expecting a baby girl in just a couple of weeks) asked for some help with pulling a look together for her nursery, I of course was excited to get involved!
But to be honest, my sister is an amazing decorator to begin with (have you seen her living room and dining room I shared on Instagram?) so she really didn't need me.

I'm sure you'll agree after you see these beautiful photos (see the end of the post for a source list):

Call me crazy and our console table

We've been in our house for almost 3 years now and I've recently changed the paint color in our family room for the 4th time. You can call me crazy, it's okay. Nothing I don't know already! In my defense, it's a smallish room with low ceilings so painting it is not a big undertaking.

So not only have we re-painted in here, I also re-styled our console table because I just wasn't into the look I shared here anymore.

So here's its new look:

It feels more right and will probably stay this way for at least a little while!
And in case you were curious, a source list of it all:

NEW paint color: Behr Silver Dust
console table: West Elm
lamp: Home Goods
mirror: Target (no longer available)
marble candle votive: Target (no longer available)
plant: Ikea
plant holder: Ikea
straw basket: garage sale

Shop and share

Hello there!
Sharing a few recent purchases of mine that you might enjoy as well.

Clockwise from top left:

This lantern comes in two sizes so I got both.
I plan on either using them on my mantel or outdoor on our patio table.

I'm slow to choose art for our house but when I saw this photograph I immediately loved it! The neutral colors are so calming in person and it looks great hung up in our living room. I'll share photos soon!

Finally it's sandal season!
I recently picked these ones up on a recent shopping trip and I've already received a bunch of compliments on them.

These cute little nesting baskets are just $9.99 and can be used in so many ways. Right now, I have the largest serving as a planter. They could be used to hold jewelry, matches, q-tips, etc. or you can leave all three stacked as decoration on a bookshelf.

White and blue buys

Okay, I need to get to Ikea now!
They have a summer line out that is full of blue and white decor (a color palette that I can't get enough of) for prices that are worth the annoying drive.

I'll take it all!
Here are a few of my favorites (click the numbers below for direct links):
